FTKPM Showcases CSR Initiative: Islamic Calligraphy Installation at Masjid As-Syakirin

Pekan, October 2024 – The Faculty of Manufacturing and Mechatronic Engineering Technology (FTKPM), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), successfully completed the installation of Islamic calligraphy at Masjid As-Syakirin, Pekan, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. This effort aligns with the faculty’s motto, "Memasyarakatkan Teknologi" (Technology for Society).

The beautifully crafted calligraphy, featuring Surah 4 Qul, Ayat Kursi, and Bismillah, was produced using state-of-the-art laser cutting technology on 2mm-thick aluminum. This initiative highlights the harmonious blend of Islamic art and modern technology.

Led by Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Zamzuri Hamedon, alongside FTKPM's technical team, the installation process was completed in just two hours. The addition of this stunning calligraphy enhances the mosque’s aesthetic appeal while fostering a closer connection between UMPSA and the local community.

FTKPM remains committed to contributing meaningfully to society through innovation and collaboration.
