FTKPM Inspires STEM Learning Through Community Service Program at SM Islam Darul Iman

 

Dungun, Terengganu, 21 October 2024 – The Faculty of Manufacturing and Mechatronic Engineering Technology (FTKPM), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), successfully organized a STEM Community Service Program Faculty@School at SM Islam Darul Iman. The program, which involved 200 students, aimed to ignite interest and passion for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) through engaging and hands-on activities.

This initiative was made possible through the dedication of FTKPM facilitators:

  • Ts. Dr. Nurrina Rosli

  • Dr. Musfirah Abdul Hadi
  • Ir. Dr. Noraini Mohd Razali
  • Ts. Dr. Nafrizuan Mat Yahya
  • Dr. Ahmad Syakirin Ismail @ Rosdi

The program, held in collaboration with the UMPSA Professor Turun Padang Program, featured three interactive STEM modules:

  1. Rocket Launcher
  2. Popsicle Bridge Stick
  3. Arduino Smart Robot

These modules were specially designed by FTKPM lecturers to provide students with practical exposure to STEM concepts, fostering creativity and deeper understanding.

The faculty hopes that this initiative will not only enhance students' knowledge but also inspire them to explore careers in technology and engineering. FTKPM remains committed to nurturing the next generation of STEM innovators.
