BACHELOR OF MECHATRONIC
ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY
(ROBOTICS)
The Bachelor of Mechatronic Engineering Technology (Robotics) with Honours is a four-year engineering technology program that provides students with a strong foundation in mechatronics engineering science, with a focus on robotics engineering. Students will begin their studies with core engineering subjects such as programming, computer-aided design and manufacturing, electrical and electronics, and machine design. As they progress, they will specialize in robotics engineering topics including sensor instrumentation systems, artificial intelligence, industrial IoT, rapid prototyping, autonomous robotic systems, machine vision, and applied machine learning. Throughout the first three years, students will engage in a combination of lectures and hands-on laboratory work. In their final year, students will gain practical industry experience through work-based learning, where they will be placed in a company of their choice to apply their knowledge in a real-world setting.
