FTKPM Collaborates with Universitas Putra Indonesia YPTK Padang through Global Classroom Initiative

28 October 2024 – The Faculty of Manufacturing and Mechatronic Engineering Technology (FTKPM), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), hosted a Global Classroom session in collaboration with Universitas Putra Indonesia YPTK Padang. This academic partnership aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of FTKPM students through exposure to cutting-edge technology and expertise from international specialists.

The session featured Dr. Nanang Fatchurrohman, an expert from Universitas Putra Indonesia, who shared his insights on Electric Discharge Machining (EDM), a state-of-the-art industrial machining technology. EDM is particularly significant for its capability to improve efficiency and precision in manufacturing processes, especially in producing complex and high-performance components.

FTKPM students gained firsthand exposure to the concepts, applications, and latest innovations in EDM technology. The interactive session allowed them to engage directly with Dr. Nanang, deepening their understanding of the technical aspects involved. This Global Classroom initiative not only enriched the students’ academic experience but also paved the way for broader collaborations between the two institutions, aiming to produce competent graduates ready to tackle global industry challenges.

FTKPM extends its gratitude to Universitas Putra Indonesia YPTK Padang for their valuable contribution to this session and looks forward to further collaborations in advancing engineering technology for the future.
