Industrial Visit to Huawei under the Premium Industry Exposure Program

On January 14, 2025, the Faculty of Manufacturing and Mechatronics Engineering (FTKPM) at Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) organized an industrial visit to Huawei Technologies (M) Sdn. Bhd. as part of the Premium Industry Exposure Program. The visit was led by Dr. Ahmad Syakirin bin Ismail @ Rosdi.

The visit was made even more meaningful with a briefing and presentation conducted by a UMPSA alumnus currently working at Huawei. He shared valuable insights from his career journey and highlighted exciting opportunities at Huawei, a globally recognized technology company.

This program aims to inspire students and expose them to premium career opportunities, with the goal of helping them secure high-paying jobs upon graduation. FTKPM remains committed to supporting students in achieving career success in the global industry.

On 9th January 2025, the Faculty of Manufacturing and Mechatronic Engineering Technology (FTKPM), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), successfully organized an academic visit to the Mercedes-Benz plant in Pekan, Pahang. The visit was part of the Manufacturing Processes course curriculum and aimed to provide students with real-world exposure to industrial manufacturing operations, focusing on advanced automotive production systems.

The visit offered students a unique opportunity to observe cutting-edge technologies used in automotive manufacturing, including automated assembly lines, quality control processes, and robotics applications. Throughout the visit, students gained valuable insights into modern manufacturing practices and the stringent standards adhered to by a globally renowned automotive brand.

This academic visit was accompanied by three dedicated FTKPM lecturers:

On December 14, 2024, the Faculty of Manufacturing and Mechatronic Engineering Technology (FTKPM), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), successfully hosted the JELITA@KPT Summit under the theme Next Level Efficiency with Cloud Automation. The event, held at Lecture Hall 4, FTKPM, was organized in collaboration with Flow Studios Sdn. Bhd. and the Centre for Industry and Community Linkages (CCIN). It aimed to provide participants with exposure to cutting-edge technologies and innovative solutions.

This initiative is part of the faculty's efforts to enhance graduate employability by exposing students to premium industries that offer high-paying career opportunities.

Objectives of the Program:

  • To train students to meet industry requirements for premium-standard jobs.
  • To provide an in-depth understanding of the operations of global industry leaders such as Top Glove.
  • To create networking opportunities for students with industry experts.

The Faculty of Manufacturing and Mechatronic Engineering Technology (FTKPM), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), successfully organized an Industrial Talk titled "Robotics Trend and Career Opportunity". This event brought together students and staff to explore the rapidly evolving world of robotics and its vast career potential.

The talk was delivered by Mr. Mohd Hazeli Bin Rasul, Co-founder, Director & CEO of Move Robotic Sdn. Bhd., a prominent figure in the robotics industry. Mr. Hazeli shared his insights into the latest advancements in robotics technology, its applications across industries, and the career opportunities available for engineering and technology graduates.

The session highlighted the importance of robotics in shaping the future and provided valuable guidance to students on how to align their skills with industry demands. Participants also had the opportunity to engage in an interactive Q&A session, gaining deeper knowledge and clarity on the subject.
