On February 25, 2025, 2 representatives from the Faculty of Manufacturing and Mechatronics Engineering (FTKPM), Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Zamzuri b. Hamedon and Mr. Zulkifli bin Md. Yusof were invited as speakers at the MyGift@4 2025: Professional Chat program held at MRSM Kuantan.

The event aimed to provide valuable insights into various professional fields, including engineering and technology. On February 25, 2025, the Admission Matters podcast session, organized by the Centre for Marketing and Academic Admission (PPKA) of UMPSA in collaboration with the Faculty of Manufacturing and Mechatronics Engineering (FTKPM), was successfully streamed live. This session focused on the entry requirements and important information regarding the Diploma in Manufacturing Engineering Technology for the current intake.

Moderator Mr. Muhammad Amirul Hakim bin Mustafa from PPKA, along with panelist Ts. Dr. Asrul bin Adam from FTKPM, provided valuable insights to assist prospective students in making informed decisions about their education path.

On 26 November 2024, the Faculty of Manufacturing and Mechatronic Engineering Technology (FTKPM), UMPSA, conducted an exclusive sharing session with final-semester students of Kolej Kemahiran Tinggi MARA (KKTM) Kuantan. The session aimed to introduce the undergraduate programs offered at FTKPM and provide opportunities for students to further their studies to a higher level.

Key Highlights of the Session:

📌 Introduction to FTKPM’s undergraduate programs
📌 Special credit transfer opportunities for KKTM diploma graduates
📌 Insight into the Work-Based Learning (WBL) mode for engineering technology programs, where students spend one year in the industry during their final year, including:

  • Manufacturing Engineering Technology (Industrial Automation)
  • Manufacturing Engineering Technology (Advanced Manufacturing)
  • Mechatronic Engineering Technology (Robotics)

Representatives from the Academic Admission Unit, En. Ashraff and En. Sabri, also attended the session to provide detailed guidance on the application process for Semester 2, 2024/2025 intake.

This session not only enlightened KKTM Kuantan students about the opportunities at FTKPM but also opened doors for them to advance their skills and knowledge in engineering technology.

Hari Alam Sekitar Negara 2024: Showcasing FTKPM's Green Innovations

 

Pekan, 25 November 2024 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), through the Faculty of Manufacturing and Mechatronic Engineering Technology (FTKPM), proudly participated in the Hari Alam Sekitar Negara Peringkat Negeri Pahang 2024 held at Taman Tasik Sultan Abu Bakar.

FTKPM showcased cutting-edge innovations in IoT, Agronetics, Environmental Technologies, Fisheries, and AI for Sports Engineering, aligning with its commitment to promoting sustainable and green technologies. This exhibition aimed to raise awareness of environmentally friendly technologies and their importance in building a sustainable future.

The event was officiated by YB Dato' Haji Mohammad Fakhruddin bin Mohd Ariff, Pahang's State EXCO for Local Government, Housing, Environment, and Green Technology. Representing UMPSA was Ts. Dr. Mohammad Adam Bin Adman, who actively engaged with attendees to highlight the university’s efforts in sustainability-driven initiatives.

This program served as a significant platform for fostering awareness and collaboration between institutions, communities, and industries in promoting green technology and environmental conservation.

On 23 November 2024, the MRSM Alumni Association of Malaysia – Kuantan Chapter (KUATAGH) successfully organized a thought-provoking session titled Pocket Talk: Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Big Data as part of the Sireh Pulang Ke Gagang (SPKG) 2024 program. The event highlighted the immense potential of these cutting-edge technologies in shaping the future.

This inspiring session featured En. Zulkifli bin Md Yusof, a senior lecturer from the Faculty of Manufacturing and Mechatronic Engineering Technology (FTKPM), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), and Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Iskandar bin Ishak, Deputy Dean of Research and Innovation at Universiti Putra Malaysia. The discussion was moderated by En. Azrun Nizam bin Mukhti, a teacher at MRSM Kuantan, and delved into the latest advancements and applications of AI, robotics, and big data across various industries.

The event, attended by students, alumni, and staff, provided an engaging platform to explore real-world examples of technological innovation and the transformative impact of these fields.

The Moh Karnival Makmur Pekan 2024 showcased remarkable creations and projects by Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), particularly from the Faculty of Manufacturing and Mechatronic Engineering Technology (FTKPM). Among the highlights were innovations in IoT, Agronetics, AI and Sports Engineering, as well as the insightful TechTalk AI sessions.

The event reached its pinnacle with the presence of His Royal Highness the Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah. His Royal Highness was accompanied by Her Royal Highness Tengku Ampuan Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, and His Highness Tengku Panglima Raja Brigadier General Tengku Amir Nasser Ibrahim Shah.

Also in attendance were esteemed members of the Pahang State Government, including YB Dato’ Haji Mohammad Fakhruddin Mohd Ariff, YB Tuan Ir Razali Kassim, and YB Dato’ Mohamad Nizar Dato' Sri Mohamad Najib.
