STI 100³ Program at SMK Bukit Damar, Lanchang: Inspiring Young Minds in STEM

 

On January 8, 2025, the Faculty of Manufacturing and Mechatronic Engineering Technology (FTKPM), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MOSTI), successfully organized the STI 100³ Program at SMK Bukit Damar, Lanchang. This program engaged about 200 students, aiming to introduce them to technology and engineering elements through interactive and hands-on activities.

Exciting Program Modules were:

  • Rocket Launcher
  • Popsicle Bridge Stick
  • Arduino Smart Robot
  • Shock Absorber
  • Robot Coding
  • 3D Modelling

The program was led by Wan Hasbullah Bin Mohd Isa, supported by 17 FTKPM staff members, including academicians and administrative staff who volunteered as facilitators. The program's agenda included engaging module sessions, a reflection segment, a faculty briefing, and concluded with a closing ceremony and award presentation for participants.

Through this initiative, students were exposed to the fascinating world of STEM, helping to foster their interest in science and technology while building essential skills in innovation. FTKPM takes great pride in the commitment shown by the facilitators and the close collaboration of all involved in making this program a success.
