OBE Enhancement and Constructive Alignment Training
On 21st January 2025, the Faculty of Manufacturing and Mechatronic Engineering Technology (FTKPM) organized the OBE Enhancement and Constructive Alignment Training to Address the EAC & ETAC Standard 2024. The event, held at Lecture Hall 1, FTKPM, aimed to strengthen the understanding and implementation of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) among academic staff, ensuring alignment with the latest EAC & ETAC 2024 standards.
The program commenced with a welcoming speech by the Deputy Dean (Academic) of FTKPM, followed by three highly engaging and insightful sessions:
1️⃣ Slot 1: Unlearn, Learn, and Relearn of OBE Approach in Engineering Education
2️⃣ Slot 2: Addressing the Gaps in EAC/ETAC 2024 Standards
3️⃣ Slot 3: Constructive Alignment in Teaching, Learning, and Assessment
Participants actively engaged in discussions and shared their experiences in adapting OBE principles to improve teaching, learning, and assessment strategies. The training was led by Prof. Dr. Ir. Che Maznah Mat Isa, a renowned expert in Civil Engineering Studies from Universiti Teknologi MARA Pulau Pinang Branch.
The workshop provided a platform for FTKPM academic staff to address challenges and explore innovative solutions in preparing for the implementation of the latest accreditation standards. The faculty is committed towards continuous professional development.
